Applicants for the Initial License do not need this application; all endorsements earned with the Initial License are included in the application for the Initial License.

To begin the Endorsement Evaluation process: Download the form for the specific content endorsement s you wish to have reviewed from the endorsement list. Use the form to complete a self-analysis by filling in coursework you have completed that you feel meets the requirements for the endorsement s you have chosen. A Substitute Authorization is not the same as a Substitute License. To obtain a Substitute License , you must have completed a full state of Iowa approved teacher preparation program and held, or are eligible to hold, an Iowa teaching license.
